Some Fixed Point Theorems Involving Akram-Type Contractive Condition in Banach Spaces

Abstract

This paper introduces a novel Akram-type contractive condition together with a new two-step iterative scheme, referred to as the Ishikawa-Mann iterative process. Using the proposed iterative process, alongside certain existing iterative processes, we establish convergence results in Banach spaces for operators satisfying the newly formulated contractive condition. In particular, we prove the existence and uniqueness of fixed points for such operators. The results presented in this study extend and generalize several recent related results available in the literature.
